PokerStars Releases 2017 TCOOP Schedule

PokerStars announced the schedule for the 2017 Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) on Monday, revealing a slate of 65 events with more than $15,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools. The 2017 TCOOP will begin January 18th and run through January 29th. As one might guess, all events have turbo or hyper-turbo blind levels.

PokerStars Announces 2016 TCOOP ScheduleThis year’s schedule was based off of last year’s – after all, when something works well, there is no sense in reinventing the wheel – but PokerStars made a lot of changes using player feedback as a guide for most of it.

We won’t get into all of the changes here, as they are really only interesting for those who really like to examine tournament series schedules with a microscope, but full details can be found on the PokerStars blog. The changes come in different forms: buy-in adjustments, time changes, tournament date swapping, and game format adjustments. In all, PokerStars tried to make sure there was something for everyone in the 2017 TCOOP and wanted to make the days and times as useful as possible.

As always, players will receive leaderboard points based on how they do in the various TCOOP events. At the end of the TCOOP, the top points-earners will win Player of the Series prizes as follows:

1st Place – Champion’s Trophy, $10,000 Cash, SCOOP 2017 – Main Event [M] Ticket
2nd Place – $5,000 Cash, SCOOP 2017 – Main Event [M] Ticket
3rd through 5th Place – $2,500 Cash, SCOOP 2017 – Main Event [M] Ticket
